Bluefield Process Safety‘s Mike Schmidt and Emerson’s Chuck Miller presented What Now? More Standards for Safety and Regulatory Compliance.

In their presentation they discuss challenges in developing a solid review and comparison of the burner management safety (BMS) standards while providing an assessment of the impact that they will have on the project and on-going cost of operations.

In the analysis of project cost (CapEx) and operational impact (OpEx ) they discusses how some process manufacturers are reconciling the prescriptive, tutorial, and performance-based standards with the advantages and cost savings provided by implementing tightly Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS) technology.

Mike presented the first workshop session, and this second recorded session was presented by Chuck.

Due to wireless bandwidth limitations, the recording was done at lower quality. The audio is OK but the video is pixelated. Download the presentation from Slideshare and follow the audio for best results.
