The annual Emerson Exchange kicks off this week in Nashville, Tennessee. I’ll be upping the volume of posts to cover some of the sites and sounds from around here at the Gaylord Opryland.

For those not able to join us I wanted to share a few tips on how you could peek in on some of the action. The first place to start is to join our new online community, Emerson Exchange 365. You’ll see people with whom you may want to connect. If you have a DeltaV system, there is even a thread to submit your question to the DeltaV Deep Dive session on Friday–and the event will be recorded.

Twitter remains a great source of things that folks are seeing and reporting. Do a search on the hashtag #EMRex and you’ll see a flow of impressions from folks all around the event and beyond.

The Putman publishing team will be reporting throughout the week. Here’s their initial post, Welcome to the 2011 Emerson Global Users Exchange!

One of the speakers at this year’s event, Thom Singer, has an excellent post on how to maximize the value you can receive at Emerson Exchange or any other conference in his post, Maximizing Your Attendance at the Emerson Exchange Conference (Or Any Event).

Eoin Ó Riain, whom I had the pleasure of meeting face-t0-face last week at ISA Automation Week, shares a link on his Read-out Instrumentation Signpost blog summing up the flow of information at last years event, “So much information, so much going on, too little time!” As one of the social media mavens in the world of process automation and instrumentation, he’s someone you may want to check in on.

I hope this provides a start for you as I head down to immerse in the action.
