When searching for angle seat valves on the Emerson.com site, the catalog section describes them as being:

ASCO angle seat valves…pressure-operated valves that work in demanding applications. The piston actuator works in a precise and fast linear movement, its stroke combined with an inclined valve body allows high flow rates. ASCO’s angle seat piston valves provide control of many different media, including liquids, gases, steam, viscous oils, and aggressive fluids. With high pressure ratings, rugged design, and compact footprints, they are ideal for harsh environments and applications in food and beverage, fine chemical, water treatment and other industries.

The four models of valves highlighted include:

The 290D valves range from 3/8” to 2 ½” pipe/ports sizes, and feature a straight-through body design available in bronze or stainless steel. The valve is suitable for general service applications (air, inert gas, water, oil), as well as steam, hot water, and auxiliary fluids. An extensive range of options, certifications, and characteristics is available.

Series 290, also known as 8290, is suitable for general service applications (air, inert gas, water, oil, and light slurries), as well as steam, hot water, and auxiliary fluids in the food and beverage industry. The pipe/port sizes range from ½” up to 2 ½”.

The 290C, also known as 8290C, is a line of fast-closing, high-flow motorized piston valves with an anti-water-hammer design. They are suitable for a variety of applications, including sterilizers, wine production (thermoregulation), food processing, car wash equipment, hydrotherapy, water treatment, industrial heating and cooling equipment, and on-board vehicle equipment. The pipe/port sizes include 1/2”, 3/8”, 3/4”, and DN15.

The ASCO Series 158 Single and Monoblock valve bodies are a 2-way normally closed gas safety shut-off valve designed for use with the ASCO Series 159 Motorized Actuator. When coupled with the Series 159 actuator, this system meets global approvals, including UL, FM, CSA, and EN161. They are specifically designed for burner applications, for pipe sizes 3/4″ to 3″ NPT or ISO flanged threaded, 2″ to 3″ ANSI or ISO.
