101 Tips to Accelerate Your Process Automation Knowledge

Over the past several months, process automation hall-of-fame member Greg McMillan has been sharing tips from his 101 Tips for a Successful Automation Career book.

These tips appear as weekly blog posts over at the ISA Interchange blog. Today’s post, Tip #19: Always Run Spare Wires and Plan for Expansion, stresses the need to plan for the future.

Greg shares the concept of additional pairs in cables adding negligible costs to the project. It gets considerably more expensive to add another cable after the fact. He goes on to describe details, watchouts, exceptions, insights, and rules of thumb.
