Leader in the Pharmaceutical Industry Relies on Highly Accurate Micro Motion Coriolis Flowmeters

In the highly competitive pharmaceutical industry, it is important to have equipment that is reliable and accurate. Unfortunately, GF S.p.A (a leader in the design and manufacture of high-tech filling equipment and quality control systems for the pharmaceutical, medical and food industries) had been using filling technologies based on time-pressure instruments. This created challenges with accuracy, repeatability and filling tolerances.

To help with this problem, the company chose to purchase a Micro Motion Model FMT Filling Transmitter along with Micro Motion ELITE and H-Series flowmeters. This new setup allowed GF S.p.A. to significantly improve system response time, reduce batch cycle times and achieve the accuracy they need in their filling processes. An added benefit for GF S.p.A. is that data can now be logged as part of a data management system to address the U.S. Food & Drug Administration’s 21 CFR Part 11 requirement for electronic records.

“Our measurement results, which have now been validated by our customers, confirm that Emerson’s Micro Motion Coriolis flowmeters are the best performing measurement instrumentation,” said Marco Serventi, sales manager at GF S.p.A.
