Our series of news-making videos from the Emerson Exchange conference concludes today. Here are Part 1 and Part 2 from the two prior days.

In this 3:42 video, Jaime Froedge highlights how advancements in the DeltaV distributed control system simplify the process of collecting data, controlling the process, visualizing the data, and routing this data to the right decision-maker in order to make timely decisions.

Matt Austin describes the industry’s first wireless power measurement meter to help manufacturers and producers to meet increasingly stringent energy regulations and to improve electrical equipment wiring reliability in this 4:01 video.

Clint Schneider, in this 2:38 video, shares how RFID [radio frequency identification] tags help to manage plant assets by allowing plant operations and maintenance personnel to access information from the asset from up to 30 feet away to help avoid difficult to reach locations and the time and cost of ladders, scaffolding and other ways to reach assets in inaccessible locations.

In this 4:20 video, Peter Zornio describes the convergence of operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) as the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) becomes more widely adopted to deliver greater improvements in operational performance. He discusses the impact on roles and work processes as the underlying technologies in IT and OT merge closer together.

If you missed the Emerson Exchange conference in early October in Minneapolis, you have an opportunity to catch the next one March 7-9 in The Hague in the Netherlands. Roel Van Doren and Travis Hesketh describe in this 3:37 video the broad subjects to be discussed, the hands-on experiences that will be available in the technology exhibit area and training courses available, and the industry and application knowledge exchanged among peers attending the conference. Register for the conference by January 12, 2018 and save 300 Euros on the conference fee.

TengBeng Koid explains in this 2:30 video how pipeline operators as well as upstream and midstream oil & gas producers using rapidly advancing technologies to reduce safety and environmental risks, improve throughput and receive better information to operate more reliably.
