Adding static or differential pressure measurements to a process can be a difficult undertaking with pipe penetrations, instrumentation wiring, and coordination with ongoing operations.

In this quick, 1:45 YouTube video, Emerson’s Brian Fretschel describes the Rosemount 3051SMV multivariable wireless transmitter that measures both static and differential pressure (DP).

This device reduces installation time and complexity by requiring only one pipe penetration, one set of impulse piping, one manifold, and one transmitter.

Brian shows the multiple sensors within the device which are completely independent for measuring both static and differential pressure. They are available for DP flow, DP level, and instrument manifold applications.
