Cybersecurity and Operational Technology at ConnectedPlant

One of the conferences for the power and chemical processing industries is the ConnectedPlant conference. The focus is on the technologies and solutions focused on improving plant operations. Some of the technologies explored included artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, data analytics and advanced connectivity.

Emerson’s David Foose and Juan Panama will be joining panels next week to share their expertise at this February 25-27 conference in Atlanta, Georgia.

David will join a panel with panelists from the power, nuclear power and downstream hydrocarbons industries. Here is the description of their panel, Cyber and Physical Risk Mitigation Strategies for Operational Technology:

Like safety, security must be baked into every connected plant application. While security risk mitigation has evolved in parallel with technology application, navigating its complexity in an ever-changing threat environment can be daunting. In this session, learn how effective cyber-risk mitigation strategies can be deployed for operational technology.

Juan will join the panel, Operational Technology Network Strategies. Other panelists who will be sharing their perspectives represent the hydrocarbon processing and pulp & paper industries. Here is the panel’s description:

How do you implement an operational technology network that will adequately support your digitalization plan? This session offers approaches that can be utilized to “connect” your plant and realize effective and secure systems integration.
